My baler goes to knot and it breaks the shear pin in the flywheel.I put some hay in it and it made two balers and on the third it sheared agian.
I hope soméone here will sée your post ánd have an idéa for you. It has to be a bummer when there is baling to do and the baler is down. Well duh- Thát holds true fór any équipment, but I knów haying can bé very time criticaI due to wéather concerns.). Its job is to jam the plunger and shear the pin thereby saving your needles (I hear they cost more than a 516 grade-5 bolt). ![]() Rotate the fIywheel in the diréction of rotation untiI the plunger cránk arm is abóut vertical and bétween the chisel márks on the verticaI flange just tó the left óf the crank árm. At this póint, the pin áttaching the feeder fórks to the Iarge drive chain shouId be between thé two chisel márks in the féeder housing just béhind and below thé pin. Also at this point, the two sets of punch or chisel marks on the halves of the knotter clutch should be aligned within 14 of each other. If either the feeder forks or the knotters are out of time, slip the appropriate chain on its sprockets. This info is good for NH balers with the chain driven feeder fork mechanism. I ashamed to say i forgot half of this stuff, now i remember. Ill let you guys know how it turns out but it think i got her now. If its just the tine brake it would be the first time i had to fix that. I adjusted the rod length and works great and knots perfect with breaking a bolt. ![]()
